Giuseppe Villari

TEACHER

Giuseppe Villari, originally from Messina, is an Italian language and culture instructor with extensive experience in international contexts. After graduating with honors in Italian Language and Culture for Foreigners, he earned a Master's degree in Teaching Foreign Languages: New Methodologies and further specialized through numerous professional development courses dedicated to teaching Italian as a second language (L2).

He holds the DITALS I certification issued by the University for Foreigners of Siena and is an accredited CELI examiner by the CVCL of the University for Foreigners of Perugia.

Giuseppe has taught Italian at the Italian Cultural Institute in Guatemala, in public schools in Maryland (PGCPS) and Washington (DCPS), at the Foreign Service Institute in Arlington, and at the Casa Italiana Language School in Washington, where he currently teaches and serves as a member of the CELI exam board. His teaching approach has always been characterized by the use of innovative methodologies and authentic materials, with a particular focus on integrating language, culture, and communicative skills.

In parallel with teaching, Giuseppe has also been involved in promoting Italian cuisine, developing educational projects that combine language and gastronomy as complementary tools for cultural transmission.
